A new year means it is the perfect time to release new lineups of vehicles. From sedans to SUVs and trucks, Nissan will always have something new and worthy to show off. Here are a few Nissan Cars to watch out for this 2022.

5 Nissan Cars To Watch Out This 2024

Nissan Pathfinder

Missed this model in 2021? Wait no more as Pathfinder is back in 2022 fully redesigned and ready to take you for a great ride.

This three-row SUV now comes with a bolder exterior and interior styling. Finally, the second-row seats can now be more classy and comfy with the new option for captain’s chairs. High-tech functionalities just got upgraded as well. Premium features got the full-pack addition of an all-digital gauge cluster display, rear-seat USB ports, Wi-Fi hotspots, a 13-speaker Bose audio system, and more.

Aside from the aesthetics, the powertrain itself got some tweaking and improvements too. Its new all-wheel-drive system is being revised to best cater to severe and harsh weather conditions. Moreover, the old CVT is now being replaced by a 9-speed automatic transmission. Nevertheless, the 3.5-liter V-6 engine remains unchanged from its predecessor.

Nissan Frontier

The redesign has long been overdue for the Nissan Frontier. After 15 years, this mid-size truck finally got an all-new and fresh makeover.

Although the frame remains yet to be changed, the majority of its features underwent significant improvements. For one, the suspensions were revised and a bunch of technologies has been added. This well includes rear automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blindspot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and more.

This third-generation model is now equipped with a 3.8-liter V-6 engine that is engineered to produce 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. This pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission in either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive mechanisms.

As most pick-up truck owners would want to know, how ’bout the payload and the towing capacity? Well, the 2022 Frontier now comes with a higher payload capacity rated at a maximum of 1,610 pounds. That is about 150 pounds more than its predecessor. However, its towing capacity remains the same as last year’s model’s 6,720 pounds.

Nissan Rogue

If you missed out on the all-new Rogue in 2021, then this SUV just got even better this year. Thanks to the new 1.5-liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder variable compression engine, the entire Rogue lineup has now become more powerful and fuel-efficient. This new powertrain is set to deliver 210 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. That is a notable increase of 11% and 24% respectively over its predecessor.

Despite its increase in power, fuel economy still is in no way compromised. The 2022 Rogue comes with an estimated fuel economy rating of 33 mpg. A hint of improvement of about 3 mpg in comparison to last year’s model.

Roominess still remains to be one of Rogue’s biggest advantages. Even though the overall length is about 1.5-inch shorter in the new model, the quarters and the cargo bay continue to offer plenty of space. On top of that, the quality of the interiors feels more premium, especially in the Rogue Platinum model.

Nissan Ariya

Nissan took the electric car game to a bolder level with 2023 Ariya. From an affordable hatchback Leaf model, the Ariya is designed to be more of an upscale SUV. This first all-electric crossover SUV by Nissan is said to be the competitive counterpart of Tesla’s Model Y.

Ariya is available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. The single-motor variant has a capacity of 210 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. However, the dual-motor set-up comes with 389 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. This is available in the all-wheel-drive system called the e-4orce.

Ariya is a five-passenger SUV with slim-profile Zero Gravity seats. This design provides ample headroom and legroom for its passengers in the rear seats.

The ProPilot 2.0 driver assistance technology makes driving Ariya safer and more convenient. This package allows hands-off driving while cruising along a single lane. Furthermore, it also supports the driver in lane-changing and is even equipped with an emergency braking system.

Nissan 2024 Z

For sports car enthusiasts, the Nissan 2023 Z is the new model to look out for. It has a 3-liter V-6 twin-turbocharged 24-valve engine under its hood. With 400 horsepower on hand, the motor is well equipped to deliver a turbine speed of up to 220,000 RPMs.

The all-new Z is available in nine-speed automatic transmission with the first-ever launch control feature. This enables the driver to maintain the engine at a pre-defined RPM level. Hence, delivering a more stable and consistent acceleration without the wheel spins and hops.

The electric power steering feature is another first in the Z lineup. This allows you to fine-tune your control with much precision and versatility. Torsional rigidity is also improved by 10%. A stiffer chassis is more likely to enhance and maximize the performance of its suspension system.

The classic look of the 2023 Z is paired with a redesigned cockpit, new performance seats, GT-R-inspired steering wheels, sport mode screens, and more. Overall, enhancing the look and comfort of this iconic Nissan sports car.
